WFTDA Women's roller derby has partnered with Blaze for over a decade to provide live production for their playoff and championship tournaments. We have been able to grow alongside the community as the sport has changed over the course of its lifetime.
This year, we incorporated LiveU LU300 cellular bonded units to create a simple workflow that allows us to direct and stream an entire weekend tournament from our studio in Portland, Ore. This gives us the ability to reduce the cost of production while continuing to create incredibly high-quality video and offer additional services at the same time. This year, in addition to the primary livestream with four cameras and instant replay, we provided quick turn uploads of each game, highlight reels, an additional promo stream to Twitch.com, and up-to-the-minute commercial additions.
